third times the charm

How are those new year resolutions holding up? Are you still in the gym? Still on Whole 30? Still journaling each day?

I hope you are.

If you're anything like myself when I've made new years resolutions, though, you might be feeling a bit overwhelmed. Any slip up in your goals gives way to continual slip up until February hits and you've forgotten that list you made.

I've taken a different approach to new years resolutions. Instead of creating a list of goals for my whole year I make a list for each day.

That may sound daunting but before you roll your eyes hear me out. I make a three item list. Three items that are reasonable, goals that are helpful for me or those around me.

My lists this week have included everything from working out to applying for a certain job to watching an episode of Younger. Just three things.

You will not believe that amount of motivation it can give you to have three goals that are achievable. I have always found myself feeling defeated when I can't check everything off the list, but when I have three items and can check them each off I feel better equipped to go and do more.

If your new years resolutions are getting you down, try making a list for each day. Let me know how it goes.
